2 Swimming Pools
Danao Coco Palms has two swimming pools – one is for children and the other for adults. One pool is interestingly marked with color to signal that one level is 3 feet, the next level is 4 feet, and the last level is 5 feet deep.
In that pool described, you can enjoy its long and curve water slide. Maybe you need to walk a bit and climb to reach that slide. Would be fun!
The swimming area offers loungers, tables, and umbrellas or parasols. The area looks neat and very modern.

Beach Area
Danao Coco Palms resort is not the best place if you are looking for wide beaches. However, you can also enjoy a small beach area with white sand and walled area for you to swim in at this resort. That is why the pools are much developed to compensate its small beach facility.

Water Activity Rentals

Yes, you can use its water activity facilities. They offer kayaks, jet skis, and inflatables. You need to pay separately for these services as they are not included in your entrance fee or room arrangements.

Surely, you can arrange other water activities if you ask the management in advance, such as boat services and travel to other islands. Although they some services are not directly available, the resort may outsource services to satisfy your wishes.

Restaurant & Bar
Danao Coco Palms Resort has a small restaurant where you can purchase some choices of dishes. You can order meals as courses or simply one or two kinds of dishes. Soup with vegetables and meats, cream soup, veggies, sausages (e.g., Longganisa), hams, fried dried fish (bulad) and hams are among the choices.

Bar
Yes, the bar area is also available and is within the restaurant area. You can choose non-alcoholic drinks, such as smoothies, sodas, and other canned soft drinks. Of course, you can also order alcoholic beverages including beers, cocktails and the harder alcohols such as Tanduay, and imported drinks.

Cottages
You can rent a spacious open cottage with a roof made from cogon grass (has a cooling effect in tropical places). This cottage is available as early as 8 AM up until late in the evening (maybe 10 PM).

The resort offers rooms for walk-in guest who wants to use it from morning to late in the afternoon – from 8 AM to 5 PM.

The Standard is available for 2 adult occupants (PhP1,000 – Mon-Thur; 1,250 – Fri-Sun)
Deluxe Room is available for 2 adult guests (PhP1,250 for Mon to Thu; 2,000 for Fri-Sun).

Entrance Fee Rates
There are entrance fees for day users, particularly for guests who would use the swimming pools. Adults and kids have to pay except for the small ones.

Standard Room: Php 2,500 (Mon - Thurs); Php 2,850 (Fri-Sun)
These rates are for 2 Adults and two kids (11 yrs old and below). There is a maximum of 3 guests per room, and you need to pay an additional fee per extra or tag-along member (Php500).

Deluxe Room: Php 3,000(Mon - Thurs), Php 3,500(Fri-Sun)
These rates are for 2 adults and 2 kids at 11 years old and below. The maximum number of guests allowed in is 4, and you need to pay for an additional tag-along friend or members.

When you rent a room, you are assured of a free breakfast and free use of the swimming pool facilities. Usually, the check-in time is 2 PM, and check-out is 11 AM.

Getting There Guide

Danao City is not far from Cebu City, that is if you plan on coming from the capital city. If that is your grand plan for your exciting holiday (event or party), you may take the following public transports as suggestions.

Bus Ride
Taking a bus to get there is more comfortable and maybe a lot safer than taking the smaller size transports. Take it at Cebu North Bus Terminal, and they leave at least every hour and at most every 30 minutes. Just tell the ‘konduktor’ to let you get off at Danao Terminal. Then take a tricycle for Danao Coco Palm resort.

An air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned buses are both available. If you want to be spared from some air pollution and dust along the way, you might have to take the air-conditioned one, and it is worth paying the additional amount.

V-Hire Ride
Vans are faster than buses since they only drop off passengers in select places. In Cebu City, you can take it at SM Cebu Department Store located in the reclamation area.
Yes, all V-Hires are air-conditioned but sometimes could be congested and not so advisable for a traveler with heavy built body.

Jeepney
This is the cheapest way to get to Danao City. However, you get what you paid for – there’s no air-conditioned Jeepney, and it could take much longer as they stop and go almost every hundred meters to pick up or drop off passengers.

Taxi Ride
This could be your most comfortable (if you get the right price and service) ride as it takes much shorter travel time and it brings you straight to your resort. Usually, they use the meter counter machine, and you will see how much you need to pay. Insist on using it. However, if you want to bargain, you can maybe talk with the operator heading off – it should be less than 1,000 and over 600 pesos.
