PAYAG HOUSE
Payag is a local language (Visayan or Cebuano) for a ‘small nipa hut’.

It is a traditional small house made of simple materials such as bamboo, woven nipa/coconut leaves, sticks and wood.

The advantage of building this structure is that it is easy and quick to build, cheap and environmental, keeps cool air inside, and a few “muscles” can move a building from one place to another (because it’s light).

However, Payag resort’s building is surely made of materials more than the original versions just mentioned…

NIPA HUT ACCENTED PAYAG FACILITIES
This resort has a number of such cool huts – some with air-con while some are non-air-conditioned. Some rooms have electric fans.

Air Con Rooms, depending on your choice, have common bathrooms or private bathrooms.
Family Rooms have a private bathroom, which means that this is more costly than the other two.

TENT FACILITIES
Tents, for 2 persons, are available for rent.

If you got your own tent you can pay less, of course.

Usually, the rates can change depending on the season.

OTHER FACILITIES
Restaurant. Payag resort has a small and simple restaurant that serves mainly local Filipino dishes (as of this writing).

Surely, they serve fresh catch fishes, sea foods, and some farm products. The good thing about this island is that it’s not polluted and farmers do not overuse chemicals to produce their farm products.

Some Menu: Pancit Canton, Bihon, Chopsuey, Menudo, Combo Meals, Grilled Fish, Grilled Squid, Hot & Spicy Squid, Tempuras, Lumpia, Porks, Veggies, Noodles, Desserts, Chicken, etc.

NO swimming pool and no Wifi available in this establishment, which you don’t want to use in this area, right?

You can get to Payag Beach House and Resort via Danao City Port and arrives at the Consuelo Port. Payag is about 8 kilometers away from Consuelo.

You can also get there via Cebu City Port by Fast Craft and arrives at the Poro Port. Poro is about 20+ kilometers from Payag.
